from York or the A1

Take the A59 from York to Harrogate. At the Harrogate by-pass,
turn right onto the A661, signposted Harrogate. This brings
you into Harrogate along Wetherby Road, past Sainsburys and
the Great Yorkshire Showground. Continue past these to a
major crossroads and traffic lights. Go straight on here.
A mile or so further on is The Empress roundabout, with a
large park on your left called The Stray. Turn left here
and continue a mile or so to the other end of The Stray,
to the Prince of Wales roundabout, then turn right into the
town centre. Continue through two sets of pedestrian lights.
After the second, turn left down Montpellier Hill to The
Crown roundabout. Here take the second exit, which is Royal
Parade. Continue to the end of the Parade and turn left into
Valley Drive immediately before the zebra crossing. Park
in Valley Drive. Parking is free up to 3 hours with a disc.

Parking is free for limited periods on Valley Drive (turn
left at the end of Royal Parade) with a disc. Discs are
available from local shops and from us. There are cash
fed meters on Royal Parade but few spaces. A public car
park is also available on The Ginnel accessed via The Crown
roundabout.
Location
HLA is located on Royal Parade, which is between The Crown
Hotel at one end and Valley Gardens at the other. Royal
Parade is a one-way street.
We're in the middle of the parade, opposite The Royal Pump
Room Museum.
Our front door is to the left of McColls newsagent and has
our logo on the glass. Reception is on the first floor.
